Alta River Camping
Would like to wish you very welcome to Alta, in Finnmark.
A magnificent experience where we promise you green valley, high mountains and wide open spaces.

The Camping ground is placed just south of the city of Alta.
You will find us about 5 km from Alta on rout 93 towards Kautokeino (Guovdageaidnu). And is a natural place to stop if you are on a relaxing holiday or just like to take a break before you move on.

The cabins are shielded from the traffic so that you can relax in a quiet environment about 5 km from Alta. Alta is known for it`s beautiful and majestic scenery, but is also a lot more. It`s all there just waiting for you to enjoy it.

Our top priority is service and cleanliness. And is just what you need if you are interested in enjoying the calmness of nature. Perhaps in combination with a walk along the magnificent Altariver

There are plenty of opportunities for fishing in and around Alta.
If you like sea or lake fishing, there are plenty of places to go fishing. (There are special rules for fishing in Altaelva).

Between Highway 93 and Alta River Camping, http://www.sami-siida.no have reconstructed a siida –
a traditional Sami village. Your hosts at the siida are the Eira and Sara families, who are pleased to give visitors an insight into the history and culture of the Sami reindeer herders.
